RAVENDEN RIDGE RANCH is located along a hilltop in North Eastern Arkansas. 

In September of 2006, we moved the breeding-stock portion of our former business, GOAT BRUSHERS KIKOS, 2200 miles from California to Arkansas!  It was quite an endeavor, but we all made it successfully, and we love our new ranch!

Here in Arkansas, we no longer brush-for-hire.  We still strive to breed quality Kiko goats.  We have abundant forage available now on our own property.  Mineral feeders are available in every “pasture.” 

We keep detailed health records, and actively participate in the EPD program.  We employ the FAMACHA technique to determine when to worm INDIVIDUAL goats.  Pasture rotation and selective worming along with rigorous culling combine to produce high-quality Kiko breeding stock.  Our nearby processing facility is the destination for those goats with traits that don’t live up to the Kiko standard—hardy, worm-resistant, tough-footed goats with impeccable maternal instincts.

The Kiko has made a positive difference in the way we manage our herd.  It has reduced our costs and the time required per goat, year after year.  That translates into more time to enjoy the fruits of our labor!  

Our IKGA-registered 100% New Zealand Kiko herdsires, MGR Lightin’s Thor and QFK Check Marks the Spot, as well as several New Zealand and American Premier Purebred  does, are busy producing the next generation of Kikos.  We produce and sell percentage Kikos,  American Premier and NZ Fullbloods.

We offer “starter herds” for the beginning Kiko breeder, comprised of percentage Kikos and a registered Fullblood buck.  We also offer individual sales on a private treaty basis.  Each year, we participate in the IKGA KIKOFEST, which includes educational seminars, vendor and breeder displays, as well as a big Kiko goat auction, and of course, lots of goat folks!
