Normal, AL, June 3, 2008--- Dairy and meat g oat and sheep producers are invited to attend the Annual Conference on Small Ruminants on August 22-23 at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana, Alabama.
Participants will have a chance to hear experts from across the South, including Fort Valley State University Extension Animal Scientist Specialist Dr. Will Getz; Dr. Richard Browning, associate professor at Tennessee State University; Dr. Terry A. Gipson, interim goat Extension leader, Langston University; Dr. James Morgan, president of the board, National Sheep Improvement Program; and Dr. Maria Leite-Browning, Extension animal scientist, Alabama A&M University.
This conference is designed to educate sheep and goat producers on genetic and reproductive management issues that can affect small ruminant herd productivity and profitability in the Southeast.
